RAZZ is a much different kind of poker game because you win the game by having the worst hand.
You make up five cards out of seven available cards. There are no community cards but each player will be dealt 2 cards face down, 4 cards face up, and one last card face down.
As in all low hand games, pairs count against the player. So, any hand with no pair defeats any hand with a pair; one pair hands defeat two pair or three of a kind.
No-pair hands will be compared starting with the highest ranking card, the same as in high poker, except that the high hand loses.
In ace-to-five low, straights and flushes are not counted, and aces play as the lowest card.
Under these rules, the best RAZZ hand is Ace-2-3-4-5.
How to Play:
The game begins with all players having to ante up a predetermined amount. Then, each player is dealt two cards face down and one card face up.
Betting:
The first betting round begins after all players are dealt their initial three cards. Just like in most poker games, players get to call the current bet, raise or fold. Following the initial betting round, each remaining player is dealt another card face up, and a second betting round happens. Again, players have the same options: call, raise, fold.
The fifth card is dealt face up, followed by a betting round. Then a sixth card is dealt face down followed by the final betting round and then a showdown.
Winning Hands:
At the showdown players must make the worst five-card poker hand out of the seven cards they were dealt. For example, 5-6-9-K-J beats A-2-3-3-5, and 6-3-7-8-2 beats 5-8-9-4-A.
